Reviews

Wonderful accommodation, spacious and very comfortable for 2, well equipped, great location, very peaceful, would highly recommend

Mrs K,

We had a lovely stay at The Hideaway and Debbie and Mark were great hosts that were available if you need help and they were just a short distance away from the property. We were grateful for the welcome box of goodies, Christmas decorations and a compliment basket of wood and kindle for the wood burner. The owners also supplied additional wood bundles for £5.00 a basket which is a lot cheaper than buying it locally at the supermarket and much more convenient. The property is so comfortable and cosy especially over the cold windy weather we had over Christmas and we both felt right at home. The kitchen was well equipped for us to cook a full Christmas meal and other dishes for the reminder of our stay. The roll top bath is a nice touch of luxury as well as the rain shower head also the quality towels, bedding and additional nice touches of hand and bath/shower gel. The back of the building you find the enclosed of garden area which garden table and chairs which was peaceful. It's in a great location to see the Kent countryside and coastal areas too. We would highly recommend staying here and would consider going back in the future.

Mr V,

The Hideaway is a lovely place to stay. Immaculately clean, very warm and comfortable, it has been converted and decorated to a very professional standard. We literally wanted for nothing, as the owners had clearly put a lot of thought into what guests might need, and were generous with their welcome pack and firewood provision. The property handbook is clear and detailed. The location of the house is ideal - despite being ‘tucked away’ and very peaceful, it is close to the road network, giving easy access to the coastal towns and to Canterbury. Canterbury is less than 30 minutes away by car and is a lovely city to explore with ancient cobbled streets, a riverside walk and the magnificent cathedral. We also enjoyed Ramsgate, visiting Ramsgate caves and enjoying walks along the cliffs and around the harbour. Sandwich is quiet and very pretty, with a choice of good places to eat. For walks and wildlife visit the beautiful Sandwich and Pegwell bay.

Mr F,

The hideaway was lovely, peaceful and quiet. Plenty to do in the surrounding area. We would book again for sure.

Mrs G,

An enjoyable short break in lovely surroundings in a beautifully kept cottage with everything you need and delightful hosts.

Mr Richard W,

An attractive property, very clean, well appointed and in a lovely, quiet location.

Mrs S,

This cottage has been thoughtfully designed, furnished and equipped to provide a lovely cosy place for a couple to stay and explore eastern Kent. It is very suitable for those with limited mobility but not for wheelchair users, as there is a step up to the entrance. The owners are very helpful and we much enjoyed our stay.

Mr K,

This was our 3rd visit to the hideaway and again it was lovely and peaceful and gave us the relaxation we have had on our previous visits. The only thing that let it down slightly was that the shower cubicle now needs some tlc with black grout and mould quite prevalent especially around the bottom of the shower.

Mr Jayne B,

This is a wonderful property. Its location on a bridleway was perfect and the instructions of how to find it were spot on. The inside was beautiful and it was exactly the sort of base we needed for the week.

Ms C,
