Reviews

Had a wonderful stay at Bluebell hosted by Heather and James. We have holidayed at this location on many occasions over the years and were a little apprehensive at the change of ownership. We shouldn't have been, as we where made very welcome on our arrival (the complimentary goodies were fantastic) and the cottage accomodation (Cable TV, excellent WiFi an added bonus) was lovely and comfortable. The lake is now far more accessible due to extensive cutting/clearing and we will be looking to land some biggies next year. Enjoyed the log fire on a couple of nights which just adds to the charm of the location. Fantastic break which we very much enjoyed, and we will be returning in 2024.

Previous Customer,

Bluebell Byre is in lovely grounds with a nice pond, also nice walks from the door. Wassall Lane was a delightful walk too. It was a lovely 4 night break but we did find the 2 steps in and several inside a bit of a trial for my husband. Heather was very helpful and we enjoyed everything else in the cottage, our small dog loved the garden, it is really secure too. We visited several lovely gardens, all not too far away.

Mrs A,

What a beautiful place for quiet escape. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Great to have a dog proof garden and wonderful walks from the gate. We spent a few mornings by the lake with a cuppa and Mova our doggie enjoyed hunting. Spoilt with the bath a luxury for us. We will be back for more peace and quiet. Such a fantastic location to Rye, Sissinghurst, Bodiam and numerous woods. Loved it all.

Previous Customer,

Had a lovely relaxing stay, we did not go out much but just enjoyed the lovely cottage and beautiful views and walk round the lake. Such a beautiful place and just what we needed, even our dog ! Looking forward to coming back again.

Past Customer,

The cottage was wonderful and so relaxing and sited in a lovely location. We did not travel around much as we just enjoyed relaxing in the cottage and garden. Wonderful.

Mr Roy H,

Really enjoyed my 3 weeks at Bluebell Byre while having work done on my new home. This lovely cottage was a perfect retreat after hectic days. It was very well equipped for a longer stay with a fully fitted kitchen, comfy beds and great WIFI. My dog enjoyed the walks round the lake and the kind hosts even allowed me to charge my car overnight. Would highly recommend as the perfect home away from home. Thank you Heather & james for making me feel so welcome

Previous Customer,

What a lovely environment, so peaceful and pretty. Well equipped Byre, very clean and tidy. Andy really enjoyed the fishing. Would love to return.

Christine & A,

Thank you for a lovely unforgettable holiday in Bluebell Byre. We enjoyed our stay and loved the rustic beauty of the cottage. we look forward to returning to experience more of what Kent has to offer. It was perfect for the dogs. Your dogs were so friendly too and I loved watching them play together. On our last day here, me and my partner got engaged in the garden. It was perfect.
