I attended a meeting of the Cranbrook and Weald Tourism and Economic Development Forum last week and found myself sitting next to the delightful Maureen Leah who was representing Cranbrook in Bloom. She had with her the framed certificates proclaiming Cranbrook's continuing prize-winning status in the South and South East.
In addition to the Silver Gilt prize, Cranbrook attained a "Beat the Drought" award which was no mean feat in the parched South East. Of course now we are yearning for a drought after all the recent torrential rain but Cranbrook in Bloom should be justly proud that they have kept the town looking so magnificent through all weather conditions.
There is a lovely colourful trough outside our office.
