We are much looking forward to seeing lots of our lovely owners on Sunday at Chiddingstone Castle. It promises to be a great treat for us all. Lovely Gribble Bridge pink fizz, the Castle open for our exclusive use, a lavish cream tea - what a lovely lazy Sunday afternoon!

Chiddingstone Castle is filled with fascinating artefacts collected by the previous owner Denys Eyre Bower. Of particular note is the Ancient Egyptian Collection, some of which has been loaned to the Houston Museum of Natural Science in Texas, which just goes to show the global recognition this collection has achieved.

Visitors are urged to be sure and see the mummified cat and painted coffin which are regarded as superb examples of Ancient Egyptian handiwork. There are many other treasures to look at from all corners of the world and all eras of history so there is bound to be something to pique all interests.

The Castle holds events throughout the year from Mothering Sunday to Christmas so I am sure we will all be tempted back at some moment.
