Queen's Jubilee Portrait

Written by Nathan Lake on

The amazing portrait of the Queen made up of thousands of photographs moved from the Towner Gallery in Eastbourne to the Turner Contemporary in Margate for the weekend. Victoria Pommery, Director of the gallery who was awarded an O.B.E. in the Queen's Birthday Honours, reported on local TV last night that they had the greatest number of visitors ever since the Gallery opened recording over 11,000 people coming specifically to view the Queen. It has now been dismantled but hopefully somewhere else will be able to spare a huge enough wall to exhibit it as it is so popular and well worth seeing.
