Folkestone has beaten Hastings and Brighton to be the venue for an art installation by American photographer, Spencer Tunick. This artist is best known for his still and video images of multiple nude figures in public settings and the good folk of Folkestone and Hastings bravely took to the streets with no clothes on to publicise their bids. The George House gallery will be the venue for the artist's visit in May and we will be following his progress with interest. This exhibition is part of the Museums at Night programme which is running nationwide to encourage cultural events after hours in selected galleries and museums throughout the country from May 15th to 17th. The Royal Pavilion Museum in Brighton and the Jerwood Gallery in Hastings were disappointed to miss out on what promises to be an extremely unusual event.
