The Wealden Times hold Summer and Winter Fairs that attract the great and the good from all over the region to shop and to feast on wonderful produce from our lovely neighbourhood. The Winter Fair was held at Bedgebury Pinetum in the Walled Garden and attracted record breaking crowds of happy shoppers. The show guide was vital for guiding the troops around all the tents to find all the tempting goodies on offer. The cover of the guide featured a lovely retro car parked in front of a charmingly decorated Gamekeepers Lodge, which can be booked through Kent and Sussex Holiday Cottages and provides a perfect base in the exquisite Weald of Kent.
The cottage is very close to some major attractions in the area including Sissinghurst Castle Gardens and Biddenden Vineyard. Nearby is the delightful town of Cranbrook which boasts a very fine Church and a beautiful windmill and some lovely individual shops and cafes. Enjoy some retail therapy at Spice followed by champagne and cake at Cocolicious! The George has been a favoured watering hole since Queen Elizabeth 1st visited in 1573 and you can be sure of a welcome and a delicious pint of local ale to enjoy by a blazing fire. There is much to recommend this part of the world so what are you waiting for? Pick up the phone and book a cottage now!
