If you fancy something a little different during your stay in Kent and Sussex why not take a trip on the River Rother? Bodiam Boating Station has a wide range of vessels available for hire and a varied selection of packages to suit everyone. If you are feeling active you could take out one of the rowing boats or kayaks and enjoy a paddle down the river at your own speed, enjoying the beautiful surroundings and perhaps spotting a heron or a kingfisher. You will not doubt need refuelling on your return and the Lime Wharf Cafe & Garden is just the place! Providing everything from hearty breakfasts, lovely lunches, tempting afternoon teas and a mouth-watering ice-cream parlour, you can relax with a cuppa or a glass of something chilled and reflect on your adventure?
There are also a range of cruises available - fancy a sunset cruise to Rye? These run most Saturday evenings in the summer 5.30-8.30pm, bring your own picnic. When you've had your day on the river, why not retire to one of our lovely properties in the area, such as Barn Cottage in Sandhurst CB622, King's Bank Oast RH1055 and Methersham Oast Barn RH1121 in Beckley or Jessie's Place SX907, just a stones' throw from the ancient and beautiful moated castle in Bodiam.
