On Sunday my colleague Kate Redman visited Sheffield Park.  Here is her story:

We arrived 20 minutes before the gardens opened to find the car park almost full, it looked like half the country had decided to visit the gardens as well!

It was well worth the wait, the colours of the trees in the autumn sunshine were spectacular and the added reflections in the lakes made it a photographer’s paradise. I have never seen so many people with cameras.

I would recommend a visit within the week or so before the leaves fall, it certainly is a spectacle not to be missed.
