We all get that bloated heavy feeling after eating all that rich festive food. The best way to shift this is some fresh air and a walk. Walking is a great calorie burner and adding a few hills is even better as this gets your heart rate pumping a little faster, and of course you get the fantastic views when you reach the top. We are so lucky here in Kent to have so many walks to choose from. On flicking through various Kent Guides I have found more than 20 walks all over Kent ranging from under a mile up to 13 miles for the more adventurous.
I have listed some for you below.
Shorne Wood - Gravesham – 1 Mile
Ham Street - Appledore – 3 Miles
Minnis Bay to Reculver Whitstable – 3 miles
Cranbrook Walks – 2 miles and 4 miles
Walmer to Deal Castle – 1.3 miles
Royal Military Canal Hythe – 3 miles
Charles Dickens Walk Rochester – 2 miles
Ramsgate Coastal Walk – 6 miles
Leybourne Lakes Maidstone 1.6 miles
Bedgebury Forest Pinetum – 13 miles
North Downs Way Trails – 4 miles up to 12 miles
Have a look at the Explore Kent Website where you will find many more walks suitable for the whole family.
