When deciding where to go for a family holiday, look no further than Cricket Cottage in the picturesque village of Robertsbridge, which is steeped in its own history. This wonderfully beamed Grade II listed cottage has recently been refurbished to a very high standard and is the perfect place to relax and catch up with all the family. There are two reception rooms, one with a working inglenook fireplace, a large kitchen with underfloor heating, a family room with TV and a wonderful dining room with French doors leading to a lovely enclosed garden. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms and a family room with a single bed and bunk beds– perfect for the children.
There are lots of lovely walks from your doorstep, perfect for exploring the 1066 countryside and the charming village of Robertsbridge is just a short stroll away which has a full range of shops including an artisan bakery, a café and some local pubs to sample. Historic Battle is just a short drive away as is Hastings if you fancy a breath of fresh sea air. There is also a train station in Robertsbridge with easy access to London.
Look no further than Cricket Cottage this summer, especially if you are a cricket fan, as this is where the Gray-Nicholls Cricket Factory is located and supplied WG Grace with his record breaking bat in 1894! Or if you love bonfires and fireworks then Robertsbridge is a must in the Autumn as it is one of the participating villages in the Sussex Bonfire Celebrations which are unique to Sussex. This could be the perfect family holiday destination – better book it now, before it’s too late.
