This is a very special place to stay – furnished with comfort in mind and with lots of care and attention to detail – it is an ideal base for exploring the High Weald with its lovely gardens and National Trust properties. VisitEngland has christened 2016 the Year of the Garden and Dairy Cottage is just a stones’ throw in one direction from Hole Park, famous for its bluebells, azaleas and rhododendrons and Sissinghurst Castle and garden rooms, designed by Vita Sackville-West, the poet and writer, in the other direction. The cottage is located just outside the charming village of Benenden which boasts a traditional village green which is used in the summer months as a cricket pitch and The Bull pub, where you can get a delicious bite to eat. There is also a community shop and café. Cranbrook, with its historic windmill and unique shops and Hawkhurst, which has a Kino cinema, are also highly recommended.
