Canterbury is a stunning city based in East Kent, which is steeped in history. The city has so much to offer. There is a lovely article in Kent Life this month, promoting all that Canterbury has to offer. I love Canterbury so I thought I’d share some with you:
Canterbury has a thriving café culture and has many eateries to choose from.
Why not have a punt along the River Stour and explore the city by water.
You can relax in the beautiful gardens of Westgate Parks.
The top of my list is Canterbury Cathedral, a stunning place and parts of the building have stood for 1,000 years.
The Canterbury Heritage Museum has some beautiful exhibits on show.
If theatre is your thing, then look no further than The Marlowe Theatre Canterbury.
St Augustine’s Abbey is another part of the Canterbury World Heritage Site. As well as Pilgrims Footsteps, this is another amazing place to visit.
Canterbury also boasts high end shopping with a superb mixed range of shops to suit all tastes.
