For those seeking a peaceful and stress free Christmas, why not take a short break over the Christmas period? We have an abundance of cosy holiday cottages that would be perfect for a romantic couple or even staying and relaxing with a couple of friends. Here are a couple of our suggestions:

Another option is The Hideaway which is situated in Worth. It is surrounded in a beautiful garden and has access to bridleways, perfect for a well needed walk after Christmas dinner! If you are looking for more of an adventure both the English seaside town of Deal and the historic town of Sandwich are both within easy reach.

The Pump House is the ideal escape from modern life as it is set deep in the Ashdown forest in Uckfield. Its unique setting allows hours of exploration in the forest which is renowned for the home of Winnie the Pooh. The cottage itself is surrounded in a pretty woodland garden and was originally an old pump house previously used for pumping spring water to the main house. If you wish to explore further out of Ashdown forest there is a nature reserve nearby, exhibiting the notorious Poohsticks bridge of Winnie the Pooh fame, as well as the local pub named ‘The Hatch’ which is known to serve outstanding food.

Candlemas Studio is located in the quiet village of Alciston which has access to the South Downs National Park enjoying incredible views across and Firle Beacon. If you are not too keen on cooking Christmas dinner the local pub may be ideal, allowing for the perfect relaxing Christmas. There are stations at both Berwick and Polegate which would be ideal for going up to London to see the New Year’s Fireworks display.

Riverside Cottage a beautiful quiet haven to relax in.  The cottage is in the village of Mersham, book for Christmas and enjoy an extra special Christmas welcome pack!
