Valentine's day - Amber Mutter
Whilst Valentine’s Day is not for everyone, it can be the perfect opportunity for romantic couples alike to spend time with one another especially in the hectic lifestyle we all live in today. If you are a bit perplexed on where to take your love interest perhaps one of the following restaurants may be for you!
The Swann in West Malling love to spoil their guests with live jazz music on valentine’s night and whether you are a lover of jazz music or not it’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy a classy meal with your other half. Whilst being renowned for their homely atmosphere and classic menu they also have a wonderful array of wines especially for the occasion. Whilst the vegetarian options are limited they make up for it in their delicious dessert menu which includes chocolate fondants, lemon posset and pistachio cake.
The Potting Shed in Maidstone offers a luxurious 4 course meal for £40 a head or £100 per couple including a bottle of prosecco. Whilst The Potting Shed may be no lavish restaurant it is a beautifully furnished pub that offers French and European food. The pub itself is never overly crowded which may provide the perfect chance to have a quiet romantic dinner and spend some quality time with your loved one.
Last but not least there is a relatively new Italian restaurant named A Casa Mia based in Herne Bay which offers authentic Italian home-made food and pizza in a wood fired oven. A Casa Mia is one of the first restaurants in the UK to be certified with the (Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana) which means that the dough for the pizza must be worked by hand and only the very best ingredients must be used! If pizza does not appeal to you they offer other beautiful Italian dishes such as Risotto ai funghi selvatici (which is also gluten free) and Gnocchi alla sorrentina.
If you are alone this Valentine’s Day, all is not lost as all of these restaurants offer great food all year round so you have the perfect excuse to go and try them with friends and family.
