The pretty, medieval town of Cranbrook is putting on a celebration for the Whitsun bank holiday weekend on Sunday 28 and Monday 29 May as part of the Chelsea Fringe Festival. Over the two days the historic town, voted among the best places to live in Britain by The Times, is putting on activities for all the family, as well as street stalls, music and food and drink stalls. Our main office is in the high street and we are proud sponsors of the event, which celebrates everything and anything that grows. There will be interactive events which the whole family will enjoy at the The Windmill, historic St Dunstan’s church and at the Cranbrook Museum, where visitors will be shown how plants were used to dye the famous Broadcloth and children and adults will be able to try their hand at spinning and weaving too.
We have some lovely cottages close by to Cranbrook as wells as so many beautiful gardens to visit such Sissinghurst Castle & Gardens, Great Dixter and Pashley Manor, as well as family attractions like Bedgebury Pinetum, the Rare Breeds Centre and the Hop Farm right on our doorstep too, so why not take and look and book a cottage with us in the stunning Weald of Kent.
