Half term fun

Looking for something to do during half term with the children? The National Trust have lots of activities scheduled. Follow Betsy, Scotney Castle's very own spooky black cat, Igtham Mote will have giant spider webs appearing in the gardens or for some artistic fun, Knole Park have family workshops focused on Autumn leaves and paper lantern making.
Bedgebury Pinetum has a Gruffalo trail for the younger children or Brogdale in Faversham has a Beastie Day where the children can hunt for insects.
There are birds of Prey at Bettershanger Park on Sunday 22nd or if you don't fancy the mess at home, pumpkin carving is available throughout the week here.
Howletts and Port Lympne zoos have lots of fun activites to entertain the children.
There is also Kent Life at Maidstone for half term fun, also English Heritage put on varied events at Dover Castle and their other sites.
Leeds Castle which is in Leeds, near Maidstone have great entertainment for all.
If you prefer something a little different, Kent and Sussex have some wonderful country walks where you can fill up bags with conkers, collect different coloured leaves or just use up some of the children's boundless energy. The seaside is also another great place to visit with miles of beaches.
