This weekend Rochester holds its famous Dickensian Christmas Festival, on both Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd December.
The main high street will be full of characters from Dickens’ novels to celebrate the time he lived in the area. There will be carol singing, a snow machine and parades just to name a few of the many of the numerous activities scheduled all over Rochester . There will also be a visit from Santa’s reindeer to pick up any letters for Santa. Great photo opportunities to be had as all the characters are very willing to have their photos taken.
The event also coincides with the Christmas market held in the castle grounds, so why not do some Christmas shopping in between enjoying a glass of mulled wine, roast chestnuts or a Bratwurst.
