Oh we do like to be beside the seaside and what super weather we’ve been having.
At 350 miles long, Kent has one of the longest and most varied coastlines in England. From spectacular seascapes and skies, long stretches of sandy beaches, promenades and piers to cliff top walks, castles harbours and seaside resorts.
Here in the South East, especially the coastline of Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Margate, we pride ourselves on some of the best beaches. They’ve received the Blue Flag and Seaside awards which means that those using them can be sure that they are clean, safe and meet the highest environmental standards, as well as the tough international bathing water quality standards. Viking, Stone, Joss and Kingsgate Bays are to name but a few. This stretch of coastline boasts 7 bays plus the main sands of Ramsgate and Margate.
We’ve some super properties in this area with amazing seafront views , our newest property, Paragon in Ramsgate still has some early September availability but be quick.
If you’re like me and end up completely covered in sand after a day at the beach, we have some equally delightful pebble beaches. Children love throwing stones in the water and the very competitive adults try their hand at skimming stones.
Hythe, full of old world charm, has a long, safe promenade ideal for walking or cycling with the children. The beach has an added benefit of a small sandpit for those who just love making sandcastles so the best of both worlds.
Here we have one of our Niche properties, The Palms, 4 star gold, truly glamorous, nestled on the hillside and wouldn’t look out of place on the Cote d'Azur. With some August availability still, get in quick.
Not forgetting the beaches of Sussex either, Camber is the only sand dune system in this county, stretching along 5 miles, great for wind and kite surfing.
Have a super time at the beach but please be vigilant and stay safe this summer.
