The bustling and traditional town of Birchington on Sea offers all the facilities you could need, with plenty of shops cafes and restaurants. The beach is just 1.5 miles away with a golden sandy beach, esplanade and the excellent Minnis Bay Bar and Brasserie where you can sit and watch the sunsets over Reculver Towers in the distance. We (two adults, two children of 12 and 14 years) were warmly welcomed by the owners who live right next door! They have explained everything important to the functions of the devices in the apartment and also us. informed about shopping and good restaurants nearby. They were always very friendly and helpful, if you have any questions about the environment. The apartment is comfortably furnished and attractively designed. Crockery and cutlery are available in sufficient quantity for four people. Especially beautiful and quaint are the well-preserved historic stone walls made of flint! The property is a great starting point for all kinds of activities - be it to the beaches in the area (especially beautiful Joss Bay but also Minnis Bay in Birchington itself - there you can eat well with very nice sea view!) Or the numerous historical sites and Places in Kent (Canterbury, Sandwich, Leeds Castle ... etc). London could also be reached by train from Birchington Station in two hours (driving during the week AFTER 800 AM, which significantly reduces costs!)! When traveling by car, however, you always have more time than expected or as the Navi indicates - the roads are sometimes so narrow that two cars do not pass each other or in such a happy state (comparable to dirt roads in Germany) ). The beautiful Quex Park with the Quex House and the Powell-Cotton Museum is within walking distance of the apartment (about 900 m).
