This charming little ragstone house, is a true treasure and was originally a workman's cottage - one of a tiny terrace of five built over 200 years ago. A cosy, tranquil and romantic hideaway for two, the house retains many of its original features and has a wood burning stove and pretty garden. It has been beautifully and sympathetically refurbished with great attention to detail and you are guaranteed a warm welcome from the very hospitable owners. The house is only fifteen minutes walk from the the High Street in Hythe, a delightful seaside town with plenty of old world charm, where you will find some great independent shops, cafes and restaurants. The Romney Hythe and Dymchurch miniature railway is just down the hill, plus the Royal Military canal where you can hire a boat and explore the waterway. Take a walk along the esplanade to nearby Sandgate which is known for its antique shops, or just sit and soak up the peaceful atmosphere in the pretty cottage garden. The city of Canterbury or the medieval cinque port of Rye are both within easy reach for a great day out. Shop: 0.25 Pub: 0.2 Coast:1.3

The property has been very lovingly restored, and every effort made by the owner to make our stay an extremely pleasant experience - including the garden.
Claire's Cottage is an absolute gem. Everything has been thought about to cater for needs to make a comfortable stay,
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Claire's Cottage. It was beautifully equipped and its location was very good. The owner is a wonderful person who helped whenever we asked something.
Thank you for the lovely welcome, really enjoyed the cream tea and for a wonderful holiday. The cottage is a real home from home, all the little details were covered. Restful décor and furnishings, very comfy bed. Communication very good and all queries answered quickly and small issue with the shower sorted immediately. So many lovely places to visit, spoilt for choice. Recommend Walmer Castle, Great Dixter gardens, Dymchurch beach, Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway and Deal. A lovely atmosphere at the opening of the Hythe Festival. Will definitely come back and recommend to friends and family. A huge bonus is the beautiful garden, eating breakfast and evening meals outside and just pottering!' Thank you
'This cottage is a gem - gorgeous flowers, tasteful décor and so peaceful. A perfect place to completely 'chill'. Hope to come back one day. Thank you for a lovely holiday'.
