This charming house sits in a quiet area on the hill above Hythe and overlooks the town with views out to sea. It is only a few minutes walk from the High Street and provides attractive and comfortable accommodation for up to 4 people. The house has an upside-down layout with the bedrooms on the ground floor, allowing the living area on the 1st floor to make the most of the lovely views. Hythe town offers so much for a fun filled holiday and has the wonderful old world charm of a typical English seaside town with plenty of independent shops and restaurants. The Royal Military canal cuts right through the town and boats can be hired to explore the waterway in both directions. The Romney Hythe and Dymchurch miniature steam railway offers the opportunity to see Romney Marsh and head out to Dungeness Lighthouse or stop off at Dymchurch for some fun and games in the little amusement park. Hythe beach is a huge shingle bay with a wonderful promenade that takes you all the way to Sandgate and Folkestone where you can stop for lunch at one of the lively cafes on the Harbour Arm. It is beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay, spotlessly clean, lovely view across to sea Mrs Jill Collinson - 8th July 2018
This is a very quiet location and the house is "upside down" with the Kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms on the lower floor and the lounge upstairs, this enable the views from the top floor to be enjoyed. There was plenty of crockery, dishes etc along with a washing machine and a very good store room- which was the garage but has been painted and presented very tidily and clean. Hythe is a good location for a base. There is plenty of flat or almost flat cycling, plenty of historical sites and of course Dover Castle which is must. This particular cottage was at the back of Hythe town which meant just a five minute stroll to the shops and restaurants.Mr Alan Dyer - 1st July 2018
Lovely sea view from big room upstairs, and excellent location for Hythe town centre, beach and light railway. Heating very efficient.Mrs Pamela Young - 21st March 2018
