Description

In the heart of this pretty seaside village is this delightful cottage sitting on a high bank opposite a large beech tree.  The cottage is reached by a flight of stone steps and is on the end of the terrace.  It is beautifully furnished and decorated and has a very pretty garden with views across the village rooftops.  The unspoilt shingle beach of Kingsdown, with its wild flower meadow and white cliffs, is just five minutes walk with the lovely public house the Zetland Arms that actually sits on the beach. An excellent butcher's shop The Ox Tale with delicatessen and wines is just around the corner where you can place an order for your holiday. There is a cycle path that leads all the way along the beachfront to Walmer and Deal where you will find two castles to explore, plenty of cafes, restaurants, independent shops and Deal pier to take a leisurely stroll at sunset. Kingsdown also has an excellent golf course on top of the cliffs and is a short distance from two championship golf courses. The area is very popular for walkers, with the England coastal path and many country paths to choose from.   Shop: 200 yards      Pub:  200 yards         Beach:  400 yards

Lobby/Utility area with dishwasher
Bathroom has pebble effect lino flooring and a bath with shower over, a heated towel rail, hand basin and w.c

Carpeted open stairs that are quite steep lead to...

Bedroom 2 is carpeted and has two single beds with pocket sprung mattresses and feather toppers with fitted drawers beneath.  There is also a small chest of drawers between the beds with bedside lamps and a built-in wardrobe

Reviews

Lovely cottage in a wonderful location - we had a fantastic holiday in this warm and charming cottage with its beautiful garden and comfortable interior.

Mr Trent Cogram,

The cottage was a real surpise, so tranquil and nice. It felt like home right away , the garden is a great bonus to sit and relax and with the sea and villages like Deal close by makes it the perfect spot for a great holiday. There wasn't anything we find negative or disappointing. It is a cottage we would rent again in the near future.

Mrs j van asperen,

Beautifully appointed cottage with very thoughtful attention to detail for guests. Convenient location for exploring this corner of Kent with lots of choices for walking, activities and eating out. The local butcher and deli was amazing.

Miss Alison Pope,

It is a wonderful property. Beautifully appointed and with a magical garden.
