Out and about: Paradise House is situated in the centre of Sandwich.  There are a range of interesting shops, pubs, and cafes, riverside restaurants and The Salutation gardens and tea rooms as the river wends its way towards the famous Royal St. Georges Golf Club 1.9 miles away. There are boat trips from the river out to view the seals in the bay and Sandwich Bay Bird Observatory and Sailing and Water Ski Club are less than 3 miles. St. Mary's Church is an art centre with musical events and St. Clements and St. Peter's churches provide pretty backdrops in the quintessentially English quirky lanes.  The property is 13 miles from the historic cathedral City of Canterbury, with its Marlowe Theatre and a wide selection of restaurants. Ramsgate harbour is 8.4 miles with Broadstairs and its range of sandy coves 10 miles away. Wingham Wildlife Park providing a family day out is 4.5 miles.
