Situated on an attractive quiet residential road near East Hill - this well-presented totally self-contained wing of a grand Victorian house offers comfortable family accommodation. With its wonderful high ceilings the house feels spacious and light. It is ideally located only ten minutes walk from the shingle beach - or take the longer option and enjoy the spectacular views from the East Hill paths. The house is also minutes from the fashionable Old Town with its individual shops, the award winning Judge's bakery where the cookies and brownies are second to none and the new Jerwood Gallery at The Stade, exhibiting contemporary British art. The recently renovated pier in the town was awarded pier of the year 2017 and close to the pier is the world's largest underground skate park. Why not sample some freshly caught fish from Britain's largest beach-launched fishing fleet in the many local pubs and restaurants and a short drive will take you to medieval Rye and the Hastings Country Park at nearby Fairlight - there really is something to keep everyone happy. Such lovely landlords. A warm welcome and every time we needed help, they were there with an answer. Thank you for that again. A beautiful house with an excellent access to the surounding area. Short walks to pubs, restaurants, shopping and beach. All very clean. A wonderful house for a family holiday. We can reccomend it.Mr Andreas Zander - 13th August 2018
Beautiful stay with private garden on top of a quiet hill within walking distance between Hastings strand and higher mountain park on top of the mountain with fantastic views over the sea and city. Hastings train station 30 minutes walk, 15 minutes beach where the houses, shops and bars leave you back In time.Taxi is relatively cheap, train to London is great in super-off hours, tube works fine with the oysters card. A great cruise on the English coast where you can get a lot of culture.Van Harten Family - The Netherlands - 12th August 2017
