Description
Located just inside the historic Landgate in Rye, this delightful end of terrace cottage with origins dating from 1300s was converted to an individual cottage in the 16th Century. Providence Cottage provides a lovely holiday home in a central location with character in abundance throughout with original beams, doors and other features. The whole property has a retro charm with a cosy snug in the basement with sofas for watching TV. There is a spacious living room on the ground floor with a wood burning stove, easy chairs and dining table with views of the Landgate. There are steep stairs up to the master bedroom and attic bedroom. The cottage is only a few minutes walk from the shops, restaurants, pubs, Museum and other attractions in this very popular Cinque Port town with views of the estuary, marshes, parks and Bowling Green from the opposite side of the street.
