Description
A quirky little house that has been thoughtfully renovated and has the unique feature of being attached to an original World War II pillbox. The location set on the escarpment above Romney Marsh gives the property far reaching views to the sea, hence the position was excellent for a look-out post. The Den is a tranquil haven and comfortably sleeps two, it has a small patio overlooking a wild flower meadow, pretty gardens and countryside. Just down the road you will find Port Lympne Wild Animal park which provides a fantastic day out and sometimes the animals can even be heard from the house. A public footpath leads from just behind the house, through the fields down onto Romney Marsh. For a day at the seaside head out to nearby Hythe, with its lovely wide open bay and esplanade to stroll along, boats to hire on the Royal Military canal and the wonderful miniature steam railway which chuffs its way through Romney Marsh to Dungeness and the lighthouse. Lympne Castle Bistro in the village is perfect for eating out, or the nearby village of Aldington has two good pubs and a village stores. Shop: 2.4 miles Pub: 1 mile Coast: 5 miles
