To give our cleaners enough time to complete the additional cleaning and sanitising that is currently needed to keep our guests safe, check-in and check-out times at the majority of our properties have been temporarily revised. The revised times for this property are reflected above.
Saddlehurst Barn is an exquisite example of the very best in barn conversions - with a myriad of original beams, beautiful oak floors combined with contemporary furnishings and the ultimate in kitchen chic...from the glass and oak stairway to the Swedish woodburning stove... every room is a complete delight. The first floor living space has glorious views of the surrounding countryside too. The location, in the grounds of the owners' wonderful farmhouse - just outside the country town of Cranbrook and Sissinghurst village is also superb - giving great access to a host of attractions, with many National Trust properties, restaurants, pubs, shops and golf courses within a short drive. When you can't imagine it could get any better - there is also a swimming pool with a telescopic cover in the owners' garden which they are happy to share. The pool is open from the beginning of May until the end of September and is subject to the weather.

Saddlehurst Barn more than lived up to the promise of the website - a beautiful conversion with much attention to detail. We have stayed in many holiday rentals but this is certainly in the top drawer! Thank you Penny & Phil for your welcome, advice and general bonhomie in these difficult times when we can't all do things just as we'd like to. We found there was more than enough to do and see locally to keep us busy for the week - so some left for next time. P.S. Best eggs we've had for ages, made a great frittata!
We enjoyed staying here so much, so we didn't venture out in the evenings to any local pubs... we enjoyed staying in! We listened to the owl in the evenings... The surrounding countryside is beautiful to walk in and a visit to Rye is worth the drive. Our hosts provided good suggestions for places to visit. We very much hope to return.
We really enjoyed our stay in Saddlehurst Barn: it is so nice inside; Harry [the dog] gave us a very warm welcome. The pool was amazing and we loved the slide and diving board. Your vegetable garden is so neat and the views are spectacular! Me and Mummy also loved the chickens (Pumpkin, Louise and Bonnie). Thank you for an amazing holiday! Lots of love
We have had a wonderful week staying in this beautifully-converted barn...This is a beautiful part of the country, and we are so thankful to have had this idyllic base to explore it from... We would like to thank you for hospitality and local tips as well as the tasty cake and the use of your idyllic pool. You have been wonderful hosts and we hope to be able to stay here again in the future as there is still so much to see. The girls want to take Harry home, btw, they love him!
A beautifully restored and very well equipped barn. Charming place to stay. Hosts are wonderful people.
We've had a wonderful week in this beautiful barn - thank you for a great experience. From day 1 on it felt like a real home, not like a holiday let. We enjoyed it and hope to come back soon!
We have had a lovely stay in your well equipped barn, we have been very comfortable. Thank you for all the lovely weekly treats! Thank you Phil for your information of the area. We will definitely recommend your stunning barn to our friends.
We have had a fantastic 5 days in this beautiful barn. Thank you very much for your tips and hospitality and all the lovely goodies you left for us. The marmalade is delicious.
Saddlehurst Barn was excellent.
As it turns out 2/3 of Kent can understand French. We write our comments in Mollieres language.
