'Woody' is constructed of timber-frame and weatherboard and has been transformed into a wonderful retreat for three and would also suit a small family.  The cottage has been furnished with great attention to detail creating a cosy and welcoming environment using calming colours on the walls and is full of lovely individual vintage pieces. There is a small wood burning stove in the sitting room and a stable door in the kitchen, where you can step out into the courtyard and enjoy the view of the windmill which is exceptionally pretty in the evenings.  Cranbrook High Street is only a few minutes walk away offering a wide range of specialist shops, a Michelin star restaurant, coffee shops, delicatessens, pubs and food shops. Woody is a gorgeous cottage with everything we like in a holiday cottage - charm, tastefully renovated, every detail has been thought of, spotlessly clean. We loved the walks (Woody to Sissinghurst Gardens), listening to the local people telling us about the area and its history (at the Church Tower and especially at the Windmill), and visiting the National Trust properties.

Mr Glaess,

A very pleasant house in a pretty town with so many things to visit and discover. A perfect holiday, definitely to be repeated soon. We recommend Cafe Cocolicious (in Stone Street), great people!

Mr Dronne,

Delightful cottage, very nicely and comfortably refurbished, and spotless when we arrived. An enjoyable week getting to know this part of the world, although probably only touched the surface.

Mr & Mrs E,

Woody is a cute, quaint little cottage with a cosy atmosphere. The upstairs is beautifully decorated and doesn't lack anything apart from a bit more storage space. We absolutely enjoyed our stay. So did our dog

Ms Cornelia Klawer,

We're so glad we decided on Woody for our one week stay in Kent - such a delightful cottage! It strikes the perfect balance between quirky charm and comfort. We appreciated the effort that has clearly gone into the place - it seems everything has been thought of and it is so tastefully done. We used the cottage as a base for visiting friends and family but managed to do some exploring of the surrounding areas as well - all were super cute! We loved returning each day to our little house under the windmill - it's so quiet!

Mrs Hale,

Woody is a lovely snug cottage and the perfect base for exploring the best part of Kent. Woody has everything you could want and it is obvious that a great deal of care into furnishing and equipping the home. It is all very elegant and tasteful, and a pleasure to live in.

Mr & Mrs North,

Woody was everything we wanted when searching the internet, and when we arrived it was even more! A perfect, cosy, well-accessorised cottage in quiet Cranbrook. We had the best Christmas ever. We will be back soon!

Mr H Jeetoa,

Wonderfully cosy, beamed cottage, sympathetically decorated with lovely old furniture, set within a pretty location in a conservation area.

Ms Pam Piper,

Lovely cottage with an excellent secure garden for a dog. Great position in a lovely town full of excellent independent shops and friendly people.

Mr John Pereira,

A beautifully restored and presented cottage in a delightful town. We loved our stay here. We visited nearby friends but were happy to spend lots of time in Woody, enjoying the woodburner. Self-catering easy thanks to a great butcher and deli in town.

Mr & Mrs S,

Very nice cottage ideally located for cranbrook.

Mr P Williams,

Had a lovely stay in Woody. Really nice location, lots of walks up and down the charming High Street to the woods.

Mr P ,

We really enjoyed our weekend away. Lots of lovely local dog walks. Cottage is beautiful, with lots of character.

Mr & Mrs Gee,

Had a lovely stay in this charming cottage.

Mr Snackaert,

We really enjoyed our short stay at Woody. Cranbrook is conveniently located to explore all the lovely NT properties in the area. We had excellent meals at Apicius and the Smallholding and good coffee and breakfast at Cocolicious. We loved the character and cosiness of Woody. A great restoration job!

Dr T,

We had a lovely stay at Woody. It is a wonderful and charming cottage and the perfect base to discover Kent.

Mr P ,

Had a fantastic week exploring Kent but it was lovely to return to Woody for a log fire and a cup of tea/G&T. Lovely Cottage, lovely place.

Dr O,

We had a lovely stay at Woody. Great cottage, lovely location with lots of good dog walks.

Mr Mitchell,

This is a lovely little cottage, just a short walk from the centre of Cranbrook. You can tell a lot of love and care has gone into the property which made it a pleasure to stay there. Also, the welcome biscuits were yummy!

Ms Sheree Webster,

The cottage is even better than the photos! I really enjoyed my stay in Woody. There is so much care, love and attention to it that it feels so homely and welcoming.

Mrs Webster,

. Woody is a superb cosy cottage, we enjoyed our short stay very much. Very nice comfortable cottage.

Mr Blake,

Cottage is great with everything you need, very clean, a comfy bed and settee. Cranbrook is very good for eating – ‘The Cloudberry’ for dinner and ‘Food for Thought’ for lunch were both excellent.

Mr & Mrs Cottrell,

This was the best on the basis of little touches / decor that made a difference. Only shortfall was a lack of a washing machine. Although service available in the village.

Nick Bryan,

Beautifully presented character cottage, very good standard of decor and soft furnishings, very very clean - great attention to detail, in short "immaculate!". Very comfortable bed, and so close to a spectacular windmil, which looked fantastic when illuminated at night. Car park very close and no charge. Cranbrook is a very nice town and perfectly placed for visting the coastal resorts.

Mr Turner,

A great base to explore lovely Kent; we will be back! Highlights included Morris Dancing in Cranbrook., Camber Sands, Bedgebury Nature Reserve. Thank you for the biscuits!

Mrs Eknaes,

Super Place.

Mr Bob Draper,

Woody was perfect for our first holiday away with a baby! Lots to see and do in every direction - Sissinghurst, Knole, Bodiam Castle and Batemans. The owner also left us some baby toys - thank you!

Mrs Pye,

We had a lovely stay in Woody! It is a great place to explore Kent and Sussex. Walked from the cottage to Sissinghurst Castle across country (info in the folder in the basket). Beautiful countryside. Thank you.

Mrs van Wijk,

We had a wonderful stay in this cosy little cottage. Fully equipped with everything you need - thank you for that and for the tasty cookies of course! We enjoyed the quiet of Cranbrook.
