Description

Hollis Oast Annexe is set down a quiet country lane and sits in grounds of the owner's oast house, set in 3 acres and surrounded by stunning countryside.  The spacious interior is open plan with beams and original stonework incorporated into the design.  The room is airy and light due to the vaulted ceiling, floor to ceiling windows and large bifold doors, which lead out onto a paved terrace with far reaching views.  The property has been furnished and styled beautifully throughout with a comfy sofa and armchairs perfectly placed around the wood burning stove. Both bedrooms are en-suite with access from one of the bedrooms onto the terrace. This property is perfect for couples or small families looking to enjoy the rural environment and the peace and quiet of the countryside. There is no internet service at the annexe therefore making this a great place to unplug and recharge. There is extensive walking from the doorstep and easy road access to National Trust properties, castles and gardens. The Kent coast is also accessible, as is Canterbury with its famous Cathedral.

Out and About:

Egerton is a small Kentish village in the heart of the undulating countryside but is close to many visitor attractions and is on the Greensand Ridge. The property is just 20 minutes from the Eurotunnel terminal and whilst hidden down an unadopted road in the middle of the countryside, the M20 and the M2 are easily accessible. Canterbury is 19 miles away and is a great day out full of eateries and bars. Local shopping can be done in Lenham or Headcorn and there is also a mainline station there. Biddenden is 8 miles away and has a restaurant and a curry house.  Close by is Leeds Castle with Go-Ape and Segway Tours and a bit further afield are Sissinghurst and Bodiam castles.  There are vineyard tours and tastings at Gusbourne Estate in Appledore and Chapel Down in Small Hythe.  Whitstable is a 35 minute drive and is famous for its annual Oyster Festival.
