Riverside cottage was the perfect location for visiting major historic properties in Kent such as Leeds Castle and Canterbury. Owners were very welcoming and a delight to meet as our hosts. Every comfort detail had been considered with breakfast provisions and cake to have with a cup of tea. Being close to the Farriers Arms was a plus which provided a great menu and selection of wines. All the facilities were presented in excellent condition and the accommodation imaculately presented. We would highly recommend Riverside cottage for a relaxing stay in this beautiful part of Kent. We have enjoyed a lovely, relaxing week at Riverside Cottage. Making the most of the good weather with visits to Rye, Canterbury, Leeds Castle, Hever Castle, The War Memorial, A vineyard and the White Cliffs of Dover. There was so much more we could have done too! The cottage is a home from home, very comfortable and well equipped, although we ate out on the whole, including a very nice meal at the Farriers across the road, very handy! Thank you for a lovely break. The cottage is wonderful with everything we needed. Lovely view over the pumpkin fields. BBQ was well used and we enjoyed a few beers as well. We stayed in Riverside cottage during the February half term. Without hesitation we would recommend this cottage to anyone wishing to visit the Kent region, not only is it ideally situated for discovering this beautiful area (or even a day trip to France!) but the cottage itself was exceptional. We felt very welcomed by the owners who have created a real home from home. They have put their hearts and souls into this property and everything in the cottage is of a very high standard with lovely homely touches. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of modern urban life this is an almost ideal ""idyllic retreat"". Looking out over fields and with birdsong the only thing disturbing your peace you'll find the owners, ideal hosts i.e. unobtrusive but there with help when the occasion demands. And this part of Kent is full of places to visit, castles galore, old Cinque ports, the sea for a paddle or swim - and even a designer retail outlet in Ashford, if that is your world.Dr R Rice - 5th October 2016
