Nice cottage for discovering Kent Beautiful cottage with good facilities for a family stay. Nicely decorated and well equipped. The living room is not a place to jump around, the low ceiling forces you to be careful. Mr S from Netherlands - 22nd April 2017
A wonderful place, we have had a relaxing week. Good walks for the dog and interesting places to visit. (Rye, Canterbury, Winchelsea, Biddenden Vineyard and Dungeness.) We particularly appreciated the kitchen equipment, herbs, spices and oil provided etc. The wood burner and the garden where we sat for an hour today enjoying the winter sunshine. Thank you for the chance to share this beautiful home you've made. The Wallace Family - Bristol - 18th February 2017
This is such a beautiful area and we will be returning, probably in the spring for another week.Mrs K Sabin-Dawson - 31st December 2016
What a lovely Cottage! We have had a wonderful week here and a great Christmas, thank you. Amazing location with lots of great walks I would definitely return for another holiday. We really appreciated the speaker and the fire, very cosy, made it feel like home - especially beautifully decorated for Christmas. Thank you for a lovely stay!.The Sabin-Dawson Family - Broadstairs - 29th December 2016
Great property, fun and quirky. Beautiful location, very rural and quiet.Mrs C Bartolini - 31st October 2016
We love Kent with all the gardens, castles and oast houses. The cottage is lovely, the weather was great. It is good to visit Great Dixter, Scotney Castle, Sissinghurst, and Wye Nature Reserve are all a must! It was my dads birthday while we were here and he really enjoyed it. Our favourite thing was playing a tune on the record player every night. Thank you! I loved living in the attic with the dolls house and the double bed. It is a tranquil location, very relaxing and enjoyable week in the countryside. I loved the quirkiness of the cottage and the rural location. The Bartolinis Family - Hampshire - 29th October 2016
We've had a great time in The Marigold Cottage. We had nice and quiet autumn weather and went out to Bedgebury Forest, Rye, and Tenterden. We took the steam train to Bodiam Castle and took a day trip to London. We also had a Fish and Chip supper so can tick that off our bucket list too! In the evenings we enjoyed reading with tea and cookies in the living room. Thank you so much.Timmerman's Family - The Netherlands - 22nd October 2016
This was our second stay here at Marigold Cottage as promised, wish we had the opportunity to stay longer. We really had a great time in this lovely cottage and in the South East. Thank you for letting us stay here, we hope to be back again soon.Jekel Family - Germany - 15th October 2016
A lovely cottage, clean and comfortable. A lot of though has gone into providing everything needed for an enjoyable stay here. Thank you for letting us stay in this beautiful rustic cottage, we had a nice break from the City. We look forward to coming back again one day.Dimino Family - London - 1st October 2016
We have really enjoyed our week in Marigold Cottage. The weather has been fantastic and enabling us to visit lots of houses and gardens. Sissinghurst, Great Dixter, Chartwell Hever Castle Scotney Castle and Smallhythe are all a must! The Ewe and Lamb is a great place to eat as is Orgu2 (Turkish) in Tenterden. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable but we would have preferred a proper shower even a wall mounted one would have helped. Thanks again.Lorraine & Nick Bradley - 17th September 2016
We had a great time in your beautiful cottage, the whole place is very "chocolate box" the quintessential English cottage, we loved staying here. We hope to make a regular family trip here every summer and maybe at Christmas too! We don't want to leave!! Hopefully we will come back again soon - Thanks for everything. The Sheppard Family - London - 1st September 2016
We've had a wonderful and relaxing week in your beautiful country which has really green and lovely landscapes. The children enjoyed it too. It is very lovely and comfortable here, also the CD collection which my husband loved mostly. We've seen a lot including pubs, London and a few interesting Castles. Thank you for being here, if we have enough time in the upcoming future we will come back again and hope to stay longer. Many greetings from us.Leidner & Jussuer - Austria - 26th August 2016
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful and cosy cottage so much! We felt like being at home, even the kitchen was well equipped. Thanks for Valerie's warm welcome and also Tony (the neighbour) was so helpful when our car broke down. We found a similar kitchen scales in an antique shop in Rye, similar to the one in this very stylish decorated kitchen, so we can take a piece of it back home legally! The marigold Cottage welcome pack contained a lot of useful information for our day trips. Thanks for a wonderful time in Kent.Fam Wiederhof - Berlin Germany - 19th August 2016
The property could not have been more charming, and the real thing was every bit as delightful as the photos. The kitchen was very well equipped, and there were even herbs and spices, etc. at our disposal, as well as tea and coffee. The garden was a lovely spot to sit out in the sunshine. The housekeeper called in to check that all was well, and that we had everything. We had a marvelous holiday, and thank you once again.Mrs S Van Lissum-Costin - 24th June 2016
Lovely, well equipped cosy cottage with some beautiful touches. Clean and comfortable although my husband is 6'3" had to stoop and bend - lots!. A week isn't long enough to do everything we wanted to do, but the location and setting is perfect as a base to explore lots of places. Thank you.Mr Laidlaw and Family - 20th February 2016
This is a charming well presented and cosy cottage. It is characterful and well positioned to most of the attractions at the west of Kent & East Sussex. The cottage is spotlessly clean and was exceptionally prepared for our arrival. One suggestion is a shaving mirror in the bathroom. Thanks again.Mr Wilson - 4th November 2015

We spent two wonderful weeks in your cosy Marigold Cottage. We could see and feel it was outfitted with sensitivity. Many thanks for the detailed information in the "Welcome Pack", which was also very helpful for discovering the surrounding area.. Thanks a lot for creating this magnificent lodging and facilitating us great holidays in the United Kingdom! The Clemens Family - 29th August 2015
This started off as more of a relocation for us and the cat whilst work was being done on our house, but it has turned out to be a really nice holiday for us all. The cottage is beautiful and so relaxing and the surrounding area stunning. We would recommend dining at the Ewe and Lamb pub down the road, visiting Silcocks Farm Shop and going on the local steam trainsMiss Flanagan - 25th July 2015
