One of two semi-detached lodges at the heart of a working soft fruit farm, approached up the long farm drive through the fruit fields.  The owners, who live in the main farmhouse further up the farm drive, keep South American Paso Fino horses who are always ready for a juicy carrot! The nearby village - with three pubs! - is just at the top of the hill and as the farm is right in the middle of the Weald of Kent you are perfectly placed to visit many attractions including National Trust properties - Sissinghurst Castle Gardens, Ightham Mote and Bodiam Castle to name just three, plus Leeds Castle, The Hop Farm, Bluewater for major retail therapy, local vineyards, lots of great country walks and there are three golf courses close by too - so something for everyone! Popping over to France for the day is easy and it's only one hour on the train to London from the nearby mainline station. Shop: 0.5 mile   Pub: 0.5 mile   Coast: 24 miles

Ground Floor:
Open Plan Sitting/Dining Room/Kitchen has laminate flooring, high vaulted ceilings plus triple French doors leading directly onto the decked verandah overlooking the farmyard and adjacent buildings
Sitting/Dining Area with a three seater sofabed (may be used if a separate bed required) armchairs and a 42" HDTV/DVD/CD and iPod dock and a large beech dining table and six chairs for relaxed mealtimes. A variety of books and games are supplied
The galley style Kitchen Area is very well equipped including electric oven, hob and extractor hood, microwave, larder fridge, freezer and washer/dryer
Bedroom 1 has a double bed, bedside cabinets, wardrobe and door to a lovely En-Suite Shower Room with corner shower, heated towel rail, washbasin and w.c
Bedroom 2 with single stacker bed which can be set up as twins if required, bedside cabinets and hooks with padded hangers for clothes hanging
Shower Room has a fabulous double shower, heated towel rail, washbasin and w.c

Garden: South facing decked verandah to the front with garden furniture and a gas barbecue available on request. Although there are no direct country views from the lodges a short stroll takes you to a picnic area at the top of the farm with panoramic views across the Weald.
Parking: Directly outside the lodges in the farmyard with plenty of additional parking available if required.
Heating: Gas central heating.
Also provided: Soft fruit - in season!
Notes: There is an interconnecting door so the lodges may be booked together for larger groups of up to 10 - a 10% discount applies ( except in low season). The owners have a very friendly Slovakian Rough Haired Pointer so please be aware that there may be dogs around the lodges. Due to their location in the main farmyard there are other farm buildings in the vicinity and there will be tractors and other farm machinery operating close by so young children must be supervised at all times.  The farmer does use polytunnels and houses seasonal workers on the farm.

The cottage is located in a great position for visiting historical sites, being close to Leeds Castle, Chartwell, Canterbury and Rye

Mr Michael p,

Really nice farm cottage - great for a short break.
