This 300 year old listed and beamed cottage has been lovingly restored by its' owners and is perfectly placed along the tree lined High Street of historic Tenterden, known locally as the "Jewel in the Weald". The cottage is spread over three floors and offers a stylish and welcoming holiday home with its own front garden and rear enclosed courtyard and a parking permit included for your stay. Oozing character, there is an impressive inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove, lovely for cosy evenings around the blazing fire. There are two spacious bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room and a bathroom on the ground floor. The cottage is only a few hundred yards from the town centre with its many restaurants, coffee shops and independent retailers and antique shops. Tenterden is home to The Kent & East Sussex Railway from where steam trains wend their way through the stunning Garden of England, stopping at Newenden where you can cruise to Rye from the Boating Station or continue on to explore the moated ruins of Bodiam Castle. There are also golf courses near by and Chapel Down Vineyard, where you can enjoy a tour of the estate and finish with a wine tasting session. There are many other places of interest so a week at this cottage just won't be long enough.

Garden: To the front there is a lawn and a small patio area with a table and chairs. To the rear there is an enclosed courtyard garden with pergola and outside seating.
Parking: A free parking permit will be provided by the owners for your stay. Parking is available at the rear of the property in the Bridewell Lane public car park. There is a secure and private access to this car park from the rear of the property. On arrival, before collecting the permit, there is free 1 hour on-street parking on the opposite side of the road.
Notes: There is a shed for storage of own bicycles. First basket of logs supplied - subsequent baskets available at an extra charge.Please note No Children under the age of 12yrs or guests with mobility issues due to steep stairs.

An excellent cottage, beautifully equipped and furnished, impeccably clean. A wonderful welcome and great communication from owner , delicious and thoughtful welcome basket too. Highly recommended and we'd love to stay again!
The cottage is in a perfect location both for the facilities and restaurants of the High Street and for many historic houses and gardens in the surrounding area. Exceptionally well equipped (very nice welcome basket supplied too). Spotlessly clean .The owner was charming /helpful and we were able to access the cottage early at her suggestion and indeed meet her. The car park permit is a most welcome and essential plus point.A comprehensive information book about the cottage/ emergency numbers etc and an assortment of tourist leaflets very useful. Owner has provided those extra little touches like fresh flowers in the rooms / welcome basket, spare toiletries which make for a delightful stay.
Immaculate property - everything there you would need for a summer holiday. Great location being on the High Street but set back from the street and felt private. Tenterden is such a nice town anyway with a good variety of shops, cafes etc. all in a few mins walk from the property.
