The Lookers Legacy is a beautifully renovated traditional brick Lookers Hut surrounded by peaceful countryside next to a vineyard.  Lookers would use these huts as their accommodation whilst caring for their flocks.  This pet-friendly property is nestled in a tranquil spot and has been stylishly renovated into the perfect country escape for two.  The open plan living area is dominated by the double bi- folding doors which open onto a secluded terrace with a luxury hot tub and stunning far reaching views over the Romney Marsh.  The modern interior is sympathetic to the original design and has been carefully extended to let natural light flood into the rooms.  The entire property has been furnished with luxurious touches and there is a cosy wood burning stove for those chilly evenings.  The most striking feature of this property is the stunning rural location with walking from your doorstep, easy access to the Saxon Shore Way and a footpath which will take you to the pet friendly Ferry Inn - renowned for its seasonal Rye Bay Scallops. Tenterden and historic Rye are close by as are the golden sands at Camber, perfect for exploring in all weathers.

Parking: Private parking with approximately 100 yard walk down a lit pathway. There is a porters trolley to transport your luggage

Notes: 2 nights stay accepted at this property. There is an unfenced pond with an unfenced ditch to the front of the property.  Babes in arms are welcome but please bring your own cot.

As we were only the 4th couple to stay there it was in very good condition and beautifully done. The "landscaping" hasn't been done but when the grass or whatever they put down gets going it will look less bare. Nothing to grumble about though. We had contact with the owners and they couldn't have been more eager to please. Zapped the ants for us! It suited us down to the ground in the middle of fields and vines. The smallness does need to be underlined because there is very little storage and it might drive people mad with everything around them.Mr P Winterbottom - 21st May 2018
This is a beautifully crafted little property. It cleverly packs in everything you need into the tiniest space and is incredibly charming and cosy as a result. Beautifully designed, with some lovely design details - the owners have a good eye for design! The interior makes great use of the natural brickwork - just lovely. Windows on two sides of the lounge space make this a lovely place to sit and relax and gaze at the countryside including wandering sheep and grouse. In warmer weather the windows can be opened up onto the patio - so it's perfect for all seasons. We stayed in early spring when it was still chilly, so we were glad of the logburner and plentiful logs provided - as well as the Netflix subscription! The cottage is remote enough to feel like a little hideaway but very close to the village. The local pub is lovely - unspoilt with good food and big log fires. I loved this place and would happily stay here again. Highly recommend it. Travel light though - as it's a small space, there's not huge amounts of storage space of course.
