Dairy Cottage is situated in the heart of Holbeam Wood farm in the rural East Sussex countryside with spectacular views across meadows which are home to a herd of traditional Sussex cattle. The property is betwixt Wadhurst and Ticehurst, both villages offering a good range of local shops, cafes and excellent pubs. The spacious living area is open plan and is furnished in a comfortable traditional style offering country living. There is a cosy wood burning stove to gather around and there is a raised outside seating area which can be also accessed from the master bedroom. The master bedroom is on the ground floor along with the bathroom making this property suitable for guests with impaired mobility. There are two further bedrooms on the first floor, bedroom 2 is accessed through bedroom 3 - ideal as a family room or for children to share. Dairy Cottage is a real home from home offering an escape to the countryside with great access to walking and cycling and is a great base from which to explore the local area. Whether you are looking to visit some of our castles, Bodiam and Scotney or our famous gardens at Sissinghurst and Pashley Manor, you will find something for all the family to enjoy. There are two local golf courses at Dale Hill and Lamberhurst and there are water sports and fishing at Bewl Water. There is also a fishing lake on the farm which is not stocked but available for guests to use with owners' permission. London is only an hour from Wadhurst station.

Jane went the extra mile to make the cottage homely and welcoming- she provided us with coffee and cakes, home produced honey and vegetables and there were wonderful fresh flowers in the rooms. E Paasch - 31st August 2017
We want to thank you for organising our trip to Dairy Cottage, it was all very last minute! We also want to thank Jane for being a wonderful host. We wanted to upload a review, but as we can't do that directly we've forwarded it on to you. We had a wonderful short break at Dairy Cottage over the May Bank Holiday. • Jane is a great host, we got a very warm welcome. The cottage has been put together with a lot of thought and is well kitted out. • The location is wonderful. At the top of a valley, the views are beautiful with no one overlooking the property. • Ticehurst and Wadhurst are both beautiful villages, with great pubs, delis etc. There's also Bewl water, as well as Bodiam castle, Battle, Hastings - so masses to do within 30 mins drive. The cottage is a real find. Highly recommended. Mr M Harrison
