This beautiful heavily beamed semi-detached country cottage is Grade II listed. It has full central heating plus wonderful open log fires, cosy rooms and wonderful views over the fields and of the windmill. The cottage stands above the delightful village of Woodchurch. A short walk takes you to the two village pubs, the butchers, the post office and village stores and close by is the Rare Breed Centre, Smallhythe Place, Chapel Down vineyard and the popular country town of Tenterden with its wide tree-lined high street and many interesting shops, tea rooms and restaurants. It is an easy drive Rye, Hastings and the wonderful sandy beaches of Camber plus to the north Canterbury and Whitstable are also easily accessible. A short drive gives you access to high-speed trains for London (37 mins) and the continent, plus by car via Eurotunnel Shop: 0.5 mile Pub: 0.2 mile Coast: 14 miles
Sitting Room - is really charming - full of original beams, exposed brickwork and a working open fireplace. The terracotta tiled floor has a central rug and coffee table, one three seater sofa, three armchairs, a footstool and bookcase with DAB radio and CD Player and 40"TV/DVD. There are more occasional tables and an antique pine dresser plus a built-in cloaks cupboard. Cupboard style door opens to reveal steepish carpeted stairs to first floor twin bedroom. We had the best time! The rain could not keep us from having a great holiday because the cottage was so cosy and warm. Especially the beds were good! The owner was very helpful and a great guy to talk to.
An excellent location as a base for visiting East Kent.
