Description

Oastwood Stud is a traditional Kentish oast house set in a semi-rural location with far reaching countryside views, perfect for family holidays with your dog, with access to nature, culture and the seaside.  Located just outside Woodchurch, it is perfectly situated for nearby shopping and a short drive away is the pretty town of Tenterden, known locally as the Jewel in the Weald, for its antique and independent shopping, cafes, pubs and restaurants.  The property has been furnished and styled with great attention to detail and offers very comfortable accommodation for up to 4 adults and 2 children.  There is a cosy wood burning stove in the roundel sitting room and doors from the dining room open onto a south facing terrace, complete with brick barbecue and garden furniture.  The gardens are extensive with scented walkways, a secluded arbour and a thatched summer house, perfect for watching the sun go down. There is a footpath from the property to the pub through the countryside so you can enjoy a local brew. Locally there are lots of things to do and see for all the family, including a trip on the Kent and East Sussex Railway - taking in the ancient ruins and moated castle of Bodiam.  A wine tasting and vineyard tour at Chapel Down can be combined with a visit to Smallhythe Place. Take a day trip to historic Rye exploring the cobbled streets and ending up at Camber Sands with 7 miles of golden sands to enjoy.  To the north, Canterbury and Whitstable are easily accessible and with golf courses nearby and the Rare Breeds Centre, this really is the place to experience all that Kent has to offer. There are high speed trains from Ashford Int to London in 40 minutes which is a 15 minute drive away.
