Little Aluph is a spacious modern cottage nestled in the beautifully maintained secluded grounds of an imposing house and surrounded by lovely countryside. The property sleeps 4 within its eaves offering a king size bed in the master bedroom and two singles forming a twin room. The open plan areas have been beautifully furnished and offer a stylish relaxing interior to complement the wonderful external views. Within the grounds is a delightful shepherd's hut overlooking the north downs to the Wye Crown and Boughton Aluph church, well-known for the Stour Festival of ancient music. The veranda on the shepherd's hut is the perfect spot to enjoy an evening aperitif and watch the sunset, in addition there is a tennis court for the more active, both of which are available for guests' use on arrangement with the Owners. Within walking distance there is a village green adjacent to the local country inn, a perfect spot to sit back and enjoy the cricket on a Sunday. Eastwell Manor for golf and spa facilities is only a mile away. Out and about: Little Aluph is situated at the edge of the village of Boughton Aluph. The village church provides a variety of musical events as part of the Kent Stour annual festival in July. The Perry Court Farm and Coffee Shop is close by offering a wide range of local produce. The property is 12 miles from the historic cathedral City of Canterbury, with its Marlowe Theatre and a wide selection of restaurants. There are many surrounding rural villages, Wye with its Farmers Market and Chilham with its own castle and equestrian events. The market town of Faversham is 9 miles away offering riverside walks through wildlife reserves. In the other direction Ashford is 4.5 miles away with the high speed link to London and a journey time of 36 minutes. The Eurostar runs from Ashford to Paris, Brussels and Lille for day trips, alternatively the Channel Tunnel and port of Dover offers car services to Calais.
