The Farmhouse is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty and sits within a small farm surrounded by fields and woodlands. Heavily beamed throughout and preserving the innate character of this lovely old building, this property provides spacious and very comfortable accommodation for eight guests. Having the wonderful benefit of 2 separate sitting areas with glorious inglenook fireplaces, the Farmhouse is the perfect place to stay for family holidays or to share with friends. The ground floor is well proportioned with a large family sized kitchen, a dining hall and 2 sitting rooms.  There is also a study and 2 shower rooms.  On the first floor there are three double bedrooms and a single room with another single room in the attic eaves. With 5 bedrooms, one ensuite w.c., a family bathroom, a downstairs shower room and separate wet room, it offers a great place for family celebrations with lots of room for all generations, both inside and out.

There is also the option of booking the 2 further properties located just across from The Farmhouse 

If you book The Farmhouse sleeping 8, The Old Barn sleeping 6 and The Apartment sleeping 2 which is adjacent, this would be perfect for a larger get together for a total of 16 Guests.

All 3 properties are surrounded by stunning countryside and woodlands, which are perfect for nature lovers and walkers with a small stream running behind the property. The medieval town of Mayfield is 3 miles away with its pretty high street shops and pub.  The ancient ruins at Battle Abbey and the 1066 battlefields are close by as are Sheffield Park Gardens and Bodiam Castle.  For the young ones Drusillas Park at Alfriston, the Bluebell Railway and Go Ape at Bedgebury are a must as is Royal Tunbridge Wells for its cafe culture, great restaurants and its range of independent shops.  Shop: 3 miles  Pub: 3 miles  Coast: 19 miles

Ground Floor:
Entrance into large Utility room with lots of storage for coats and shoes  
There is also a washing machine, clothes airer and sink.  Off the utility room there is a Wet Room: with folding chair, fixed shower head plus hand held, w.c.

Through to a small lobby with a Shower Room off: with shower, heated towel rail and hand basin.  Also off the lobby is the Study: with a desk and chair, door leading into... 
Open plan reading room adjoining to main sitting room: with an armchair, and sideboard.

Kitchen: is spacious with fitted units and granite worktops, electric hob, separate electric oven and microwave, dishwasher, 2 toasters, Nespresso machine, radio and a circular dining table with 8 chairs. Off the kitchen is a Pantry with a fridge/freezer and plenty of storage for food. There are three steps up (with handrail) from the kitchen into a wide corridor with sloping, beamed ceiling, with windows to garden, stairs to bedrooms, and with 2 Sitting Rooms off.

Out and About.
The surrounding countryside and woodlands are perfect for nature lovers and provide wonderful walks and there is a small stream running behind the property. The pretty medieval town of Mayfield is close by with some lovely high street shops and a great pub.A short drive is the ancient ruins at Battle Abbey and the 1066 battlefields, slightly further afield is Sheffield Park Gardens and Bodiam Castle. For younger ones visit Drusillas Park at Alfriston, the Bluebell Railway and Go Ape and fantastic off road biking at Bedgebury Pinetum. For more extensive shopping and dining experiences a visit to Royal Tunbridge Wells is a must as it offers great restaurants and a range of independent shops.


This was a beautiful cottage in peaceful surroundings. We were made very welcome with some provisions. Would love to visit again
