Description

Little Orchard is located next to the owners' family home and is set in around 13 acres of gardens and paddocks with equestrian stabling for the owners' horses.  This superb 3 bedroom conversion is all on one level and has been styled to the highest standards with great attention to the smallest detail.  It has been converted using solar panels which provide electric heating and there is also a wood burning stove in the sitting room.  There are French doors opening onto a terraced area with fantastic views across the adjoining fields and woodland with direct access to the forestry commission land, making it ideal for keen walkers.  There are three double bedrooms, one with an en-suite and a spacious well-equipped kitchen with the dining table at its heart - the perfect place for family meals or just catching up over a cup of tea or a chilled glass of wine.  The local area around the property is full of good country pubs and places to eat.  Staplecross is a pretty village with many period houses, nearby Bodiam has the wonderful castle ruins and Seddlescombe boasts its own organic vineyard which you can walk to via woodland footpaths.  Great Dixter House and Gardens is in Northiam and makes a great day out at any time of the year and further afield there is Hawkhurst with fishing lakes and a golf course, Tenterden with cafes, restaurants and a nostalgic steam railway.  Battle, Hastings and Rye are also on your doorstep as are the golden sands at Camber.  Little Orchard is situated right on the Sussex/Kent border, making this the perfect holiday property for families or couples looking for either a fun filled holiday or a relaxing break in the countryside.   Shop: 1.4 miles   Pub:  1.2 miles   Coast: 8 miles

Reviews

Little Orchard with a big heart. In a good position to visit lots of beautiful and historical places. This spacious bungalow ticked all the boxes and more with its hospitality and high standards, rustic with a twist of modern and Archie our dog loved it too.

V.J.H Hampshire,

We had a lovely stay at Little Orchard, thank you for the best welcome hamper we have ever received. All the decor and finishing touches were spot on. One of the really nice things was how spotless the property was. The cottage was fantastic and much more than we hoped for. We would definitely love to return one day.

Mrs N,

The beds were super comfy, the welcome basket was a lovely touch and the cake was yummy.

Mrs L,

Lovely accommodation, clean and well laid out. Exceptional welcome basket. Owners on hand for queries.

SJ G,

'Wow, what can I say….. Little Orchard is truly perfect, the decor is just beautiful & you literally have thought of everything ! The welcome basket was incredibly thoughtful & most enjoyable & having a Christmas Tree in the property made it extra special - so, thank you. I will definitely recommend it & I know that we will return at some point'

J, T & Humphrey the dog,

Amazing place with the most wonderful hosts.

Mr Peter Enright,

We stayed at little Orchard for Christmas and we've had a truly wonderful time. From the moment we walked in we felt we were at home. The owners are fantastic hosts and extremely welcoming. We went for loads of nice "muddy" walks in the area and made it to broomhill sands on Boxing Day ( the dogs loved it!). The house is amazing and the area is fantastic and we will definitely recommend Little Orchard to our friends and family. Note: We had a fantastic great time from M. age 6.

Family En,

Thank you so much for accommodating us at short notice. Love the house, had a great time, great food. Highlights include Bodiam , Rye Harbour Nature Reserve and we had a great meal at Webbs. Thanks again.

The McLachlan family,

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage very much. Thank you for your hospitality. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to visit all the interesting places around here. We'll certainly come here again some day!

Family from Bremen, Germany,

Thank you for such a perfect break. Great Dixter was interesting and I loved seeing the ponies in Action Whizz on Wizard ! It has been a very happy and memorable visit and far too short. The luxury of the Little Orchard is great, as is the hospitality you offer.

G - Herefordshire,

We have had a fantastic time at Orchard Farm. The house is perfect and in such a beautiful setting. There is everything you need for a very comfortable stay. We certainly hope to be visiting again some time !!

The Weight Family, Southend-on-Sea,

We've had an amazing week. The house is lovely, we felt so comfortable and completely at home. We would recommend visiting Rye, the Science Centre at Herstmonceux and Camber Sands.
