This pretty semi-detached weather boarded cottage is situated in a fabulous location right on the edge of Bewl Water. It has stunning views from the ground floor raised terrace and also from its first floor roof terrace. Bewl Cottage has been beautifully renovated and offers stylish and comfortable modern family living for 5 adults and one child, with a spacious sitting room and a kitchen/dining room with fabulous far reaching views across the water. There are bi-folding doors from the dining area onto the terrace which is perfect for watching the wildlife and letting the relaxing effect of the water lap over you. The cottage is generously proportioned with 3 bedrooms and 2 shower rooms and the master bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom and roof terrace. There is access straight from the garden onto the reservoir for walking and there is a 13 mile cycle trail around Bewl through woodlands and meadows with a stop off at the nearby pub, The Bull, at Three Leg Cross for a welcome drink. Nearby is the pretty town of Ticehurst offering local independent craft and vintage stores, cafes and a local foodie pub. Royal Tunbridge Wells is a short drive away and offers more extensive dining and shopping opportunities. This area of Sussex borders closely with Kent and has an abundance of National Trusts properties such as Bodiam and Scotney Castles and the beautiful gardens at Sissinghurst and Pashley Manor. There are golf course at Dale Hill and Lamberhurst and Bedgebury Pinetum is a wonderful place to wander through the ancient pine trees and there is also a Go Ape site for the more adventurous.

Another much needed break. Lovely walks, cycle rides and kayaking. After our day, it has been lovely to return to this comfortable accommodation. We are looking forward to returning hopefully.
We had a very nice stay here. A really nice change to the City. This house is comfortable and there were plenty of activities to keep us occupied.
We came for Joan & John's 50th Wedding Anniversary. We've had a very nice stay here.
Superb week in this amazing setting. The property is excellent. The weather was brilliant too. We did not eat out at all as where would you find a better setting. We cannot thank Lauren enough for her help when we arriving. The welcome pack was a nice surprise. I know we will be back!!
We've had a lovely stay here - a much needed change of scene. We have enjoyed the gorgeous sunsets over the water, plus a bit of yoga on the deck - love that view!. The local area, eg; Bedgebury is fantastic for cycling and we recommend Chapel Down and Hush Heath Vineyards for visits too. many thanks
We've loved our week here. Such a wonderful house and the first break for us post lockdown!. Thank you Lauren for all the care and attention you put into the property with all the extra cleaning, we felt very safe here and were happy to stay local and avoid the crowds. So thank you for providing the perfect spot to do that.
Thank you so much, Bewl Cottage is an outstanding place for families to gather. The view is stunning and the house has been beautifully decorated and is very comfortable. We would definitely like to return before too long.
Had a lovely stay at Bewl Cottage. Thank you for the toys and books each one has been played with or read at least once. Incredible scenery to wake up to in the morning. The cake was fantastic, would love to come back again!
Fine views, a sultry sun and thoughtful host. Everything we could have hoped for in a week away. The house was perfect and the books and unexpected treat. Every house should have a Seamus Heaney.
Had an amazing 2 weeks at Bewl Cottage, especially the view. Thank you Lauren for all the personal touches. We had amazing meals at The Bull, The Bell and The Cherry Tree. We recommend a local taxi called Iain who picked us up from restaurants and brought us the short distance home.
This property is amazing! Stayed here as a family ( 3 generations from 64 to 20 months) in October half term and was so homely, cosy and had everything you could possibly need! Looking out onto Bewl water, the location was beautiful and ideal for exploring the local area. Our host couldn’t have done more for us ...toys,books,baby equipment and a delicious homemade cake. Lots a lovely walks ( don’t forget your wellies!) and places around to visit for all ages- would recommend the Observatory at Hertmonceux for children..great fun! We didn’t want to come home!!
